Dear The T:

Hello,

I can answer that question for you -- Jodie Foster did appear in many episodes. Jodie Foster's character and Brandon Cruz's character Eddie Corbett were best friends. I hope this helps. Thank you for your consideration and time, thanks again.

Have a peaceful, pleasant & safe day!!!!

Sincerely Signed,

Mindy

Dear The T:

Hello,

I was glad I could be of assistance to you. I was born on June 13, 1972. "The Courtship Of Eddie's Father" was my first exposure to the loveable Bill Bixby (when I first laid eyes on Bill Bixby I developed a killer/major crush on him). I still love and respect Bill Bixby. I am glad I could help out another fan of "The Courtship Of Eddie's Father." It is a tragedy that we had to lose Bill Bixby to Prostate Cancer. Thank you for your consideration and time, thanks again.

Have a peaceful, pleasant & safe day!!!!

Sincerely Signed,

Mindy

Jodie Foster was in a total of 5 episodes. I believe the COEF was her first tv appearance (as far as appearing on a tv series episode). Can anyone confirm or deny this?

According to this bio (http://us.imdb.com/Bio?Foster,+Jodie), she made an earlier appearance on Mayberry R. F. D. The bio also mentions earlier work in commercials.

I definitely remember Jodie Foster on the show. The episode I remember best (not surprisingly) was an episode in which Bill Bixby took an art class where he drew pictures of a nude model. Eddie saw the pictures and asked why it was drawn that way. Bill explained to Eddie that it was OK for her not to be wearing clothes because it was art. So Eddie decided that he could ask his friend Jodie Foster to take off her clothes so he could draw her. Obviously nothing was shown because they were 7 years old but Bill Bixby then had to explain why adults could do things that children couldn't.

This was an NBC show, right?

NBC was difficult to get in this area, because there were only two local channels here in the late 1960s, WRBL-3, which was CBS, and WTVM-9, which was (mostly) ABC although oddly 9 showed some NBC programs somehow.

The closest we could get to NBC was Channel 2 in Atlanta, which could only be picked up here with a powerful antenna.

Yes, this was such a sophisticated show all around for those days!
