Did anybodt ever get on your back about watching this show? My late mom once did, saying it would ruin your mind.

My dad didn't like us watching Gilligan, The Monkees, Get Smart, etc., he said
they were not any good. But we'd watch them every chance we got.

My uncle whom I lived with for many years hated the show and would get angry with me for watching it, he was from the litle rascals era and couldn't stand gilligans island, he passed away back in 1990, I wonder how he would feel about todays sitcoms.

Not really from my family, but a lot of my friends joke around with me about it. They are just messing with me, but I know they don't watch it.

I never had any problem with parents or other relatives not wanting me to watch it when I was a kid. Now that I'm grown, though, some people act like I should have "grown out of" liking it. :confused:

Sure my life is now much more sophisticated and my responsibilities greater, but I see that as all the more reason to enjoy simple pleasures. :cool:

yeah, my friends all kid me about watching it, but their cool people. but i was soooo happy yesterday, because i lent the first season to my one friend, and yesterday she declared that she was obsessed with Gilligan's Island now. so that was awesome;)

I don't know why some people put down GI------it never claimed to be anything more than entertaining and funny----and it's both of those! :)
