I have it on very good authority that My Beloved philadelphia eagles have traded for bills linebacker Takeo Spikes. The eagles also recieve QB Kelly holcombe, the bills get Defensive Tackle Darwin Walker & an undisclosed draft pick.

I don't think this is big eagles news at all-lol Marv Levy said they are getting rid of him because they want to strengthen the DT position-lol And don't get me started on Kelly Holcomb. I remember Takeo Spikes not doing a thing when he played against the Eagles in 2003-lol So now we are talking 4 years Later

Takeo Spikes is a good player but has been injured for a couple years now. But I'm sure he can bounce back. A good deal for Philly not to mention the security they get for Mcnabb in getting Holcolmb.

Kelly Holcomb was a decent backup QB here in Cleveland. He was actually MUCH more popular with the fans than Tim Couch. That was one BIG mess. :mad:

Diddn't at one point Holcolmb start a playoff game for them? Yea Tim wasen't that popular my last memory of Tim Couch as a Brown was him getting booed by the fans after he got injured.

He was crying in the postgame show about it, if I'm not mistaken. He had an awesome post season game against the Steelers in 2002. He was named the Browns' starting QB in 2003, with less than stellar results. He broke his leg, and his career as a Brown was basically over. Sigh...

I forgot to add that Kelly Holcomb was the one with the awesome post season game against the Steelers, was named starting QB the next year until he broke his leg. That was NOT Tim Couch. Just wanted to clear that up...:lol:

well several teams including the vagiants were hot & heavy after him. He upgrades our lb corp big time if he is healthy. Its a risky move but I like it. Only time will tell

The man can play football when he is healthy, the key brian is when he is healthy. This is a high risk/reward deal for the birds. Even you have to admit this move bolsters the LB corps.

If the eagles traded for ladanian tomlinson you would poo poo it saying crap like he was a product of the offensive line blah blah blah. No matter that the eagles do its not a good move, this is a good move with a huge upside.

I said it once and I'm going to say it again, spikes was traded by a losing team and since that is the case, you can't get excited about the trade, just have to wait and see if he has anything left
