Usually, in sitcoms they can always paint a villain to either as a boss of a company or some sort of cruel human that harms the good people who the audience loves the most.

I'll go with Boss Hogg. He was so over the top, it was funny. I know he wasn't like that bad at all, but he was the most funny and over the top crooked politician I ever seen.

I love Boss Hogg, too. He is so funny! Pity the actor died before the reunion movie. I know in the later seasons that Boss Hogg became dumber and dumber than a bag of hammers, but he is so funny.

I'm going to pick Endora as my favorite villainess. She did some really horrible things to her son-in-law Darrin but you still liked her anyway!! :D

Although it's not a sitcom, my pick will be Roger Gaffney from Homicide. I picked him because he will always have that evil smile in his face, plus he likes to p*** off Gee and the detectives. That's why I picked Gaffney as the over the top villain in a show.

How about the villains that appeared on "Batman" in every episode? Whether it was the Joker, the Penguin, or Catwoman, the actors that portrayed them gave some of the most hammiest performances you'll ever see on any series, sitcom or not. The best way to describe them would be to simply say:

Holy hilarity!

I strongly agree 1000% Joker was always my favorite though. My favorite Villainess would be Endora and Julie Catwoman Newmar.

I don't know if this counts but T-Bag on Prison Break is one bad villian.

I don't see why not. The thread said "show" so I guess it means both sitcoms and dramas! :D

I have a friend who says Dr. Smith was to Lost in Space what Endora was to Bewitched. Can you imagine what would happen if those two hooked up? Endora'd whip him into shape in no time! WARNING indeed!

I love Boss Hogg, too. Knowing how much Sorrell Booke loved the character and the show makes him even more cool in my book.

Dan Fielding/NIGHT COURT - he came across as morally and ethically bankrupt, but at the end of the day he was a good guy deep down. case in point: episodes Married Alive and Dan In A Coma
Lex Luthor/LOIS & CLARK - he was evil but there was something tragic about him

The Grinch. He even tried to steal Christmas! Of course, he did repent.

Mr. Burns is bad to the bone too.

There's also Dr. Kelso from Scrubs. His heart is almost as black as Mr. Burns.

I have to agree with Bob Kelso. What a terrific bad guy. And what a terrific and nice actor.

Also, I would add Prince Blackpool from Wizards & Warriors. COMPLETELY over the top!

he came across as morally and ethically bankrupt, but at the end of the day he was a good guy deep down.

Reading this, I immediately thought of Edna Babish from Laverne and Shirley, even though we are talking about a "she" here instead of a "he". I thought she was an antagonist when I first watched the show (why? I can't remember at the moment), but I gained an appreciation for her as I kept watching the show.

My vote would have to go to Vice Principal DiPerna from The Wonder Years. However, he did show his good side in the episode where Mr. Collins, Kevin's algebra teacher, passed away and he gave him the news. Unfortunately he got angry with Kevin in a later episode in which he was editor of the yearbook and made fun of a fat student. pig: pig: Also from TWY I would nominate Mr. Keller, Jack's boss at work, but he was only in one episode.
