how many DVD,S do you have that you did not order from Columbia house I did not order Starsky and Hutch,SWAT ,Hart to Hart and WHO,S the Boss.

If Columbia House DVD releases are anything like their VHS then my advice would be to stay away from them. Columbia House had a bad habit of releasing series on VHS but not finishing the entire runs. Sanford and Son was released with 4 episodes per tape but they only issued about 116 of the 135 episodes leaving people who spent a fortune on the tapes with 19 episodes to find elsewhere.

Twilight Zone was released in it's entirety on 43 tapes which would've cost roughly $25 each with shipping if bought through Columbia House. Today, You can find the set on Ebay for about $50. One money making trick Columbia House used was to release some half hour shows with only 3 episodes per tape.

One such show was M*A *S *H, Even though the previously mentioned series were released 4 episodes per tapes, There were more episodes of M*A*S*H (251 to be exact) and Columbia House only released 207 of them on 71 tapes. If bought through them, They wound up costing roughly $1,775. That set of tapes recently sold on Ebay for $56

The unloading of the tapes on Ebay is no doubt due to the DVD releases. 3 years ago, M*A*S*H and Star Trek TNG were selling for over $1000 per VHS set now you can get them for a steal. I bought 2 Twilight Zone sets on Yahoo auctions 3 years ago at 250.00 each but unloaded them on Ebay when the first DVD's were released. I was lucky enough to sell one for $600 and the other for $550. Today, I'd be lucky to get $50.
