Though I don't own it (yet) I would have to say the Lucy and Desi Scrapbook would be my favorite. This is the most amazing book I've ever seen, with all the three dimensional replicas of letters, memos, photos and other memorabilia Lucille Ball kept over the years. How they were able to produce such a technically complicated book like this and still make a profit is beyond me. Hats off to Elisabeth Edwards!

That book is a great investment. I agree that it is beyond me how it was put together so nicely. The ILL Scrapbook is good too.

The TV Guides with Lucy on the cover are my favorite items. As for specialized items, probably the DVDs just because I have a chance to sit back and watch my favorite comedienne in action!

The only problem if I buy it is I'll probably never put it down! How can I ever get anything done with that book lying around the house to tempt me?

I've got a couple of the TV Guides, too. I'm not really a collector, but I do enjoy the old magazines and reading the articles. It's interesting to read what was going on in her life at that time and see the way her life and career was being portrayed.

I don't have a picture to post but my favorite "ILL" merchandise is a talking clock that I bought two years ago from the Lucy/Desi gift shop. :)

That's a very nice item! I'm tempted to buy one for myself. :)

I know that feeling! It eventually gets put down, there's no need to rush it though.:D

Here are some observations from the TV Guides I posted above. Basically, there was a whole lot of "Lucy" on the air back then. Keep in mind, this was before cable TV, so there were far fewer channels. The point being, you couldn't avoid "Lucy" if you tried!

July 16-22, 1960 TV Guide for Lake Ontario, Ontario, Canada edition:

Saturday morning, 11:30 AM on CBS: "I Love Lucy"
Sunday, 10:00 PM on CBS: "Lucy in Connecticut"
Monday-Friday, 11:00 AM on CBS: "I Love Lucy"
Monday, 7:00 PM on local channel 3: "I Love Lucy"
Monday, 7:00 PM on local channel 13: "I Love Lucy"
Thursday, 10:30 PM on local channel 11: "I Love Lucy"

Total: 10 "Lucy" episodes aired that week

July 6-12, 1974 TV Guide for Los Angeles:

Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM on Channel 9: "The Lucy Show"
Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM on Channel 11: "I Love Lucy"
Monday-Friday, 5:00 PM on Channel 9: "The Lucy Show"
Monday-Friday, 7:00 PM on Channel 11: "I Love Lucy"
Monday night, 9:00 PM on CBS: "Here's Lucy"

Total: "Lucy" aired a total of 21 times that week (Note: this was the month before Richard Nixon resigned. Impeachment hearings were going on that week, so some of these broadcasts might have been interrupted to cover the hearings. It happened a lot. I remember!)
