View Full Version : Mr. Furley was just as bad as the TRIO when it came to Paradise Towers-LOL
TVFactFan 03-25-2007, 03:54 PM As old as Mr. Furley was, why the hell would he start insulting his brother and QUITTING and had not received a Letter of Hire with a starting Salary?-LOL He was just going by what the man said who he put in the cab and had not filled out any application or w-2 form or receivd any type of employe benefits Package but calls Bart and says-"I HATE YOU?_lol He wasn' supposed to stick his chest out until he received something in Writing. Damm I thought the Trio was Bad but Furley won the BRAI DEAD Award in that episode
Hers&Hers&His 03-25-2007, 05:31 PM You seem to be unable to grasp a very simple concept about Three's Company:
Most of the plots revolved around a sacrifice in reality for the sake of making the show funny. No, the shows were not perfectly realistic. But that's what made them funny.
You ask why Furley didn't fill out applications and get written confirmation about the job.....because that wouldn't have been funny or interesting at all. It's a sitcom. Your goal is to make people laugh. If you make everyone in the show smart and reasonable there's nothing to laugh at.

Don't respond to anymore of my threads. Don't you think I know the reason Furley didn't fill out applications? It called episode discussion!!!!
GARFIELDKOOL 03-25-2007, 05:48 PM I liked this episode, but Mr. Furley didn't go about it the right way. He should have asked to check out this Paradise Valley before picking up an old man and putting him back in a Taxi Cab instead of taking an old man's word for it.

As Far as him putting the man in the cab, he was just being a nice guy. I'm talking about him not asking to CHECK OUT Paradise Towers before caling Bart and saying I QUIT!!-LOL

Not only did he quit, but he told Bart off and insulted his family! LOL That was a classic RF moment!

All that and he had nothing in writing-lol
BTW: thanks for being normal enough to have FUN EPISODE DISCUSSION unlike some idiot on this board.
MikeLutton 03-25-2007, 07:53 PM wonder what mr roper would of done in that spot
Ireneparalegal 03-25-2007, 09:35 PM You are so right Sol. Why not at least confirm abt Paradise Towers existence? It sounds like he literally had no brains, especially for someone who should know better.
I know what you mean abt conversations, there is some idiot on the White Shadow board who was telling me the same thing, IT WAS JUST A TV SHOW. No sh*t sherlock. Gimme a f**king break.

I know it sounded GOOD but you don't QUIT a job if there is no written letter of hire with a starting salary-lol And Jack and the Girls never gave any thought to-"HOW WILL WE PAY THE RENT AFTER ONE YEAR??-LOL That's like me helping a old man on my Block and he says he will put me in a loft APT for a year and my dumb ASS saying OK knowing that the RENT is $2000 a month and wouldn't be able to pay the sh*T after 12 months-lol
Ireneparalegal 03-25-2007, 09:42 PM Exactly. It reminds me of that offer that Florida's cousin gave to the family abt a penthouse in Good Times. Ok, how will the family deal with $$$$ after that one year? Same here. They gave no thought abt the future and just thought abt NOW!
