I've been sick the past 3 days. Since Friday i've woken up with a 102 fever that lasts until around noon(I think the medicine is kicking in) and then when I go to bed i'm burning up again. I can't feel my throat at this point and my insides hurt although i think the coughing so much is contributing to that. It started Thursday night I was choking on mucus or somethng all night and was having trouble breathing. I figured it'd go away by today but nope fevers back and my throat hurts more than ever. SO doctors/mothers/fathers/wiser ones that wouldve gone to the doctor whats wrong with me? I lied to my mom and told her I was going to to the doctors Saturday but ended up not going so shes going to be thrilled to come home today and find me barely functioning.

Thanks

Probably just depressed I got a date next weekend.

:p

B it could be something bad. My grandfather is in the hospital [unless hes out] because he has pneumonia. The past couple days Ive been having diva attacks where I start burning up and I get a fever, but I found out its only my period.

B go to the doctor so youre well in time for Gwen on Idol.

It could be allergies, my son runs a low-grade fever with his. He's been taking
Claritin. You may need to go to the doctor & get checked out though. Hope
you get to feeling better soon.

A few years ago, my husband had the symptoms you described. I took him to the hospital, and it turns out he had the flu. Tim, you really need to see a doctor. Whatever you have could be made worse by neglect. Please do that. Good luck and keep us posted.

I don't think there are any doctors on S.O. and if it was I don't think they could help you over the web. So the best thing for you to do is go to the Emergency Room at your nearest hospital. No way would I been wasting time asking someone on here when I can be at a hospital getting treated.

Could be bronchitis or strep or some other bacterial infection. I had a terrible sore throat, muscle weakness, a fever, and chest congestion (though I think that was left over from a February cold), and I went to the hospital and got some amoxicillin. Helped a lot.

Yeah I was thinking it would be something along those lines. I'm going to the doctor tomorrow, I couldnt go today since it's sunday and I sure as hell wasn't going to a walk in clinic. I hate doctors as it is.

thanks guys

I agree with what everyone else said. It is best that you go see your doctor as soon as possible. I hope that you feel better soon.

I hate DOCTORS more than anyone but if you are going through all of that you posted then u were supposed to go to the Hospital TODAY!!. I know it's a pain in the ASS when medical issues arise but sometimes you just have to go and get it taken care of

I dont think going to the hospital is neccessary. They have more important things to deal with then someone with a cold. I've been in bed all day, its helped.

You said you had a 102 Temp and you don't think that is an emergency? Plus SitcomsOnline would be the last thing on my mind if I had a fever of 102.

Like i've said i've had a fever running from 100-102. It doenst last all day. If that were the case i'd be there. Its only there when I wake up and at night, which is normal with fevers. and yeah i figured i'd ask so since at the point where i made the thread i've been home alone with this all weekend. usually my mother is the person I go to first:lol:

That may be the case... But when you're not getting any better, the docs can DEFINITELY take you in.

You gotta go to the hospital to be PROPERLY diagnosed with mononucleosis, anyway. Or at least the ER. I felt awful the entire month of September 2006 and didn't know why. On the 23rd, I said to myself, "ENOUGH OF THIS," called a cab and took myelf to the ER. Some time later, I was finally properly diagnosed with mono.

I'm not saying you have mono. But to get a proper diagnosis...Well, SEE A DOCTOR, TIMBO. :p

I went..He gave me a cough syrup and an antibiotic for namonia(is that how u spell it?) although he said he thinks it's an upper respirtory infection. If those dont help I have to go back for a chest x-ray

ick...but the antibiotic should make you feel a little better in a couple days.
