The Sweetest Things

This is a movie-turned-sitcom spin-off from the 2002 movie "The Sweetest Thing". Cameron Diaz plays Christina Walters again, and Christina Applegate plays Courtney Radcliffe again. Christina and Courtney remain in their San Francisco apartment, after things between Christina and Peter Donahue fizzle away after Peter chooses his former high school girlfriend over Christina one-too-many times for her liking. Also, Jane has gotten married and moved out East for her new husband's new job, leaving Christina and Courtney alone together in their apartment-both single and entering their mid-thirties against their wills. Christina and Courtney spend their free time hanging out at the popular nightclub "Sweet Cherry", where Courtney has been employed as Public Relations agent for the nightclub. Christina changed her career once again and is working as a bridal consultant (the job that she always wanted since she and Peter began dating, but not putting her bitterness about relationships aside to help other brides-to-bes). At Courtney and Christina's favorite hangout nightclub, they spend their time socializing with the voluptuous, confident bartender, Brynn Wallace (Sara Ramirez) and the naive yet flaky, independant newbie cocktail waitress, Kendra Raines (Emily VanCamp). Watch how Christina, Courtney, Brynn, and Kendra battle single life in San Francisco, along with every other daily pressures of life.
