Cable TV and premium channels have come a long way in the last 30 or so years, Today you have so many choices, there is cable up to what 400 or 500 channels, the same with DSL, You can get total premium packages for one small price with so many channels its crazy, but it wasnt always that way, along time ago just around the late 70s early 80s you had about 5 to 12 cable channels and the premium channels were not even in the same setup.

Anyone remember ON TV, it was this huge box that gave you 1 premium channel and it was expensive too, there was also Select TV that also was a big box that was set up the same way, what about the Z channel anyone remember that one? the Z channels box as I recall was a very small one and came after ON and Select tv, this was way way before HBO showtime and cinimax and all the others, they were not even Babys then, the Didnt exsist. Im glad cable and DSL gives you so many choices today but I still like to think back sometimes about ON TV and select as well.

I do. ON Tv was the first major cable premium offered. Although, I can remember when "cable" was first offered but all it was, was a channel that played one or two movies all day long, over and over.
