If both Lowell and Antonio were at the scene of the gang murder, then why didn't Antonio have to enter the Witness Protection Program too? Of course the way he became the last two seasons, I wish they'd sent him into the WPP with Lowell.

Antonio had gone to the restroom. It was then that the murder occured. So he didn't see it.
Even though, his character got a little sad towards the end, I'm still glad he stayed with the show for the duration. Without Lowell, they needed another wacky character. And Budd certainly didn't do well.

What, the other characters weren't wacky enough for you? :D
I don't know who became more insufferable to me as their show went on: Antonio or Hawkeye from MASH. At least we didn't have to listen to Antonio whine about the horrors of war. ;)

Roy seemed to get wackier in the later years, lol. In fact, the whole show in general got wackier in the later years.
Maybe that's why I liked Henry Blake so much. He never made it to the later years. Who knows how his character would have changed, since it seemed like all the other characters changed as the seasons went by.
I always tend to (whether it's on purpose or not) make the characters who leave a show, my favorite. Like Lowell is my favorite on "Wings" and, of course, he left the show. Henry Blake is my favorite on "M*A*S*H" and he left the show. Mr. Lucas is my favorite on "Are You Being Served?" and he left the show, too.
