The general mood of the sports-loving side of state - and I being in Kentucky therefore mean the entire state - is one of overall happiness, at least from what I've seen. Tubby's flaws as a coach - most notably his absolutely awful recruiting abilities - were being more evident as Kentucky's program slipped more and more into mediocrity.
Understand: Yes, he coached the 98 team to the Title - but the team was almost entirely Pitino's recruits. Hasn't won since, hasn't even come close in recent years, once his OWN recruits took over the program.
You know who *I* think UK should hire? Pitino. Now THAT would be sweet.
