I'm reeeeeeeeaaaaaaallllllyyyy mad at myself for forgetting about this. but anyway, March 8 would have been Alan Hale's birthday. I think i thought it was the 25 or something for some reason. but anyway, I just wanted to remember him. No other actor could ever capture the Skipper's personality, I'm sure.

Very true, I can't see the original choice (Carroll O'Connor) as the Skipper. Alan Hale Jr. was just right for the role.
