“How I Met Your Mother” star Cobie Smulders has snagged the role of “Wonder Woman”

The Vancouver-born actress – who plays spunky ‘Robin’ on the hit sitcom – has emerged as the frontrunner for the role.

Smulders was actually the gal that Joss Whedon wanted for the role – and despite everything else, Producer Joel Silver was on the same page as his then-director. The beard apparently still loves Smulders… and is still dead keen to fit her for the wonder-bra.


Joss Whedon (“Serenity”) was onboard the project, but he exited the project recently – citing creative differences. Warner are apparently on the lookout for a replacement.

Actually, that's a pretty good casting choice.

Okay, i now give them permission to start making this movie.

AND ALSO I HOPE THE MOVIE IS NOTHING LIKE THE 1974 TV VERSION OF WONDER WOMAN STARRING KATHY LEE CROSBY. THAT MOVIE WAS SO BORING AND NOT WELL WRITTEN. LIKE YOU I LIKE THE 70'S SERIES ALSO.

BY THE WAY COBIE SMULDERS OR KATIE HOLMES IS PERFECT FOR THE ROLE. THEY BOTH LOOK ALOT LIKE LYNDA CATER THE 1970'S WONDER WOMAN.
