I've always noticed that the cash shown on ILL is really fake. They deliberately tried to make it look that way. Does anyone know if there was some kind of law in the '50's where real money couldn't be shown on TV?
Interesting note:
In "The Business Manager," we get a glimpse of what things cost 50 years ago.
Mrs. Trumbull's shopping list was: 1 btl. cooking sherry, 1 qt. milk, 1 box of crackers, 1 can of green beans and a whole roasting chicken for $4.23! We can barely get a chicken breast for that today!
Ethel's shopping list was: 1 loaf of bread, waxed paper, 1 lg. jar of mayo and flour for $3.80.
This isn't consistent or realistic because Mrs. Trumbull got a whole chicken and a bottle of booze for just $.43 more than Ethel paid!
