This is the episode that shows the message at the end, "We miss you, Carol" change into "We miss you, Tracey", in reference to her anorexia. I just finished watching this episode on ION and they cut it off before it changed to "Tracey". Was this edited out for the syndicated episodes out of respect for Tracey's privacy or did ION inadvertantly cut it off as part of the ending credits?

they must have purposely edited this part out because when growing pains aired on abc/fox family they had the ending where it changed into tracey. The only reason i specifically remember this is because that was the episode that aired the afternoon before the E! True Hollywood Story on growing pains that i ended up watching and i was so curious at why it changed to that that i did a little research and just found that tracey had left for medical purposes and then later found out on E! why the real reason was

You beat me to it. Just saw it cuz I had it tivo'd. Stupid ION was in such a rush to do their stupid credit squeeze that they knocked it out. Maybe Nick will air it (IF they actually make it that far before yanking GP). They usually let it run til it says "Executive Producer Dan Wilcox" but this time they didn't. Hard to believe they would edit that out from an incident (her disorder) from 15 years ago. But who knows.

You know, I'm glad someone brought this up because I had remembered it saying Tracey and I didn't see it that way on ION. Thought it was my imagination but yeah, that is strange they edited that part out. Hopefully we'll see if they show it on Nick at Nite, if they ever get to that episode before pulling it altogether.:(

I must have missed it, but how did they write Carole BACK into the show for the last three episodes? She had abruptly gone to England to study, with the mood of the episode suggesting she would be gone for a long time, but was back 3 episodes later in "The Wrath of Con Ed" and the final 2 episodes.

I think it was written in as sort of a short course or something. Because even though she only missed like a couple months of episodes, it may have been like six months in the world of the show.
