This morning I rushed out to buy the second season of The Wild Wild West (one of my other fav shows) and saw something that really delighted me. The set for Dr. Loveless' house in "The Night of the Raven" was the same one used for the mad scientist's house in the GI ep "The Friendly Physician." James West even took a ride in the same revolving chair/wall panel that Mr. Howell did! I recently also saw it in an ep of Get Smart, but couldn't tell you now which one. They were all produced in the mid-60's-----the GI and WWW eps within 6 months of one another. I guess it was a semi-permanent set. Has anyone seen it pop up anywhere else??
Not the castle set but I noticed the lightning strike in the opening credits in an episode of WWW season 1. I didn't realise the second season was out yet. I'll be putting in my order post haste.

Wow, if I ever get that I'll have to take a look for it.

Here we go again! I just got through watching the Wild Wild West episode "The Night of the Bottomless Pit" (Season 2) and realized the last scene where West and Gordon escape Devil's Island was shot on the GI lagoon location... :)
....makes sense--since WWW was also shot at Television City by CBS and the lagoon was just outside the studio building. I think that's Television City you can see at the top of that blooper photo that was posted from the "The Friendly Physician." :)
I've also noticed the Gunsmoke set once or twice on WWW, which I think was also used in GI dream sequences a few times.

And that island footage of the mad doctor's sinister castle in "Freindly Physcian: is from "The Pit and the Pendulm" a 1961 Vincent Price flick, whcih is on video,or so I heard regarding all this. (The thunderclaps were around this time starting to be used on Hanna Barbera, from the long forgotten SInbad Jr. to the very early Scooby Doo episodes and Flinstones and in Disneyland;'s Haunted Mansion..classic Castle Thundeer. I beleive the Rain SPirits episode of Gumby (one of the few PC Indian depictions not from the Disney studio of the time) used that same thunder during the "thunderbird scene".)

if anyone has ever seen the Chevy Chase film where they're on some island.. the island reminded me of our island... i'm pretty sure it wasn't from GI though..
