I HATE that there's only 7 new episodes left. :crying: They recently had a series wrap party. Here's some pictures (http://www.leahreminiguardforum.com/upload/showthread.php?t=347). jpcanes 03-20-2007, 09:50 PM It is sad. However, I love the promo because it is a celebration of the show and those clips are hysterical!!! The KoQ is going to go out in style!!! Believe it!!!! energy 03-26-2007, 11:06 AM The sad thing about this series ending is the feeling that the show wasn't done. Some series end and you know they should've stopped a while ago. But with the Koq, there's the sense that they could still do good work. Just a few little adjustments could have easily infused new life into the show. Nobodys lost their talent. They are all still at the top of their game, even Stiller. Sitcoms this good are rare. You have to make sure they're good and dead before you bury them. That wasn't done here. It's a little comforting knowing the 9 seasons will be on DVD to be watched whenever one wants, but still.... It's like losing a close friend. On Leah's website she spoke of the sadness of knowing the show is ending. True fans could immediately empathize with those feelings, and they probably feel almost the same way themselves. It's like the fans and the cast are almost interconnected in some way. Socom 03-26-2007, 06:44 PM I also felt quite sad when I heard that the King of Queens was finally comming to an end. The King of Queens held a special meaning for me because it was the first sitcom that I watched on a regular basis. Every monday night on CBS I remember watching the King of Queens and Yes Dear before going off to bed at nine ( I was like 12 back then). Even though we'll all miss the show, we should all remember that it had a great run. It was one of the only shows that had truly loveable characters involved in humerous plots that never got old. The King of Queens was truly an example of what a sitcom should be, simple and just plain funny. Ant-Lox 03-27-2007, 12:41 PM It's sad to see it go, but I won't really miss it like I missed Frasier or Seinfeld. I guess I can blame the DVD releases for that. |
