The question of what happened to George Reeves is interesting in itself.

The characters in the film are very flawed and quite honestly, most are not very likeable. The film as a whole works nicely, with the flashing back and forth between before and after the murder, as we get to know the characters, their motivations and their world. The division of story between the investigator Simo and his everday world LA (after the murder) and the Hollywood lives (before and after) juxtapose to give us a glimpse into an era with a real feel of authenticity.

The mystery serves well as the framework for the lives of troubled people looking for solutions and answers and not grasping what is in front of them- the possibility that the answer to their questions (whether that of a possible murder, a failing career, or the key to happiness) is right in front of them. And that there may not even be a problem at all, just what you create.

Yeah, lol...I was in a bit of a quandry because I liked one and disliked the other. I was too lazy to use the thumbs up and down in our smiley list, lol.

The Good Shepard isn't my type of movie. It's a political, espionage thriller. It has a lot of characters and subplots, so there's a lot to keep up with. It's almost three hours long. I gave up after an hour, but my husband watched the rest and loved it. Don't go by me. Many people love the movie.

It was recommended to me by Netflix, and It was the final straw. next week I'm joining Blockbuster!!! :lol: Hopefully they'll be better at recommending movies.

Even though I was sarcastic in my above statement, I actually am going to switch over to Blockbuster soon. I haven't been too happy with Netflix lately, and I like the idea of bringing my mail in rentals to the store, and not having to wait two days for them in the mail.
