TV One was doing a promo for the Roots and just from the promo I noticed these characters

Thelma's boyfriend from season 5

James Gambling Friend

Penny's Doctor

It was a very good mini-series, and I enjoyed every minute of it. I can remember that back then I didn't have a good opinion of white people after seeing the movie :lol: I was very mad at them all. But I got over it, and I intend to sit down and watch Roots again..... with my son, this time.

I still don't have that good an opinion of White people. Because with few exceptions, they haven't really changed. However, I can control that and not let it rule me. As for Roots, I always thought it was a good introduction as far as what we went through, it just barely scratched the surface in showing our horrors. No program can really show it adequately.
