Usually if there's something I want, it's only a song or two, so I'll just buy it at iTunes.

I can't remember the last time I purchased an actual CD.

I usually buy my CD's at Hastings, you can buy new or used & they're reasonably priced.

That's where I buy mine. I usually buy used one's if possible since they are cheaper there. And the nice thing about buying used cd's from Hastins is that I haven't ever had one of them skip on me. But If I don't find the cd at hastings I buy them from Walmart or on Amazon.com

They usually have a good selection too. We're located near an army base so
they get a wide variety of trade-ins from the military. :)

I mostly buy used CDs from sellers at Amazon.com. Sometimes I pick them up at Target.

Yep. If it's one of my favorite artists, I'll still buy the CD at a store the day it comes out. I also use Amazon a lot for music purchases.

I haven't tried out ITunes yet, but I'm looking foreword to it. Mostly I buy music either at Half Price Books or at Barnes and Noble.

I buy one or two new CDs each month. I usually get 'em from Amazon Marketplace sellers, and eBay stores.

I also buy CDs from yourmusic.com. It's the old BMG Music Service, with a new name. All compact discs are $6.99, with free shipping. It's a good deal because there's no membership agreement to fulfill, no monthly selections, and no long-term obligations. Just buy the stuff you want, when you want it!

I've only walked into a retail store to buy a CD one time in the past five years (to buy Springsteen's "Magic" the day it came out), and I've never purchased a music download online.

The only place I pretty much go for music is independent record stores. Does anybody here shop at the independents besides me???

Three out of every four compact discs that I buy are from independent stores listed on Amazon Marketplace or on Ebay stores. So it's just like shopping at an independent record shop; the only difference is that I place my order online and have it delivered in the mail, instead of browsing the racks and taking my selections to the check-out counter.

I can't remember the last time I was actually inside an independent record shop, although when I was younger I often visited the well-known indie stores in the Los Angeles and Orange County areas -- mainly Aron's Records, Pepperland, Beggar's Banquet, and Rhino Records.

Sadly, we don't have anymore independent record stores around where I live.

I used to buy all my music cds at The Wherehouse and it was my favorite music store and I would always go to the music store when we would eat at Red Lobster and it was a lucky chance for me because the music store was next to the Red Lobster and when I would go into The Wherehouse Mom and I were always coming out with new music but sadly The Wherehouse closed and then I started buying my cds at Walmart and if you look in Walmart they have really good cds under $5,00 in their huge bargain bin and many great cds I have found there. I also buy my cds at Kmart and they have many bargain cds that are very hard to find and out of print cds too. But now I get lots of cds from my aunt because she finds them at Goodwill and when she sends me gifts I always look forward to listening to new artists. I do wish music stores would return because when you went into a music store you felt like you were sent to heaven because it was great fun getting cds and listening to them on the store's listening stations and you could never leave because music stores were so fun to browse in

If what I am looking for can still be found in the store, that is where I will get it, but lately I've been getting my stuff from the Ebay and Amazon websites because of how rare they are.

God bless you always!!! :) :) :)

Usually Amazon and iTunes for downloads.

I buy CDs from Amazon, and I can't remember the last time I bought a CD in a regular store.

I used to have an independent music store near me and it sold used cds for real cheap and I would find many out of print cds and from time to time they would have deals on new releases but i hardly ever bought new releases from there because I would find my new releases at Kmart. Sadly that store is now closed and is now a dollar store. Another place I would sometimes go is Virgin Records Megastore and it was the coolest store to find new releases and what made it best was listening stations all throughout the store
