Hello. I am in desperate need of obtaining episodes of Chico and the Man's 4th Season. Iv'e looked everywhere but i can't seem to find them. When was the last time they aired on TV anyways? On Digital Cable there's this channell called American Life, that airs Chico and the man once a week on Saturday nights at 10:00pm and they just recently ended the 3rd season, and started from the beggning of the series again. It makes me angry. I also checked AOL Video because I know they have some old episodes there, but all I found was 1st 2nd and 3rd Season episodes. Does anybody here have any 4th Season shows? I have a few things to trade. If anyone can help me out, please send me an email at cassieisasuperhero@yahoo.com Thank you

The 4th season might be hard to find. When TV Land was airing CATM back in 2001 they aired all 4 seasons. I didn't tape that season, because, quite frankly, I found them hard to watch because the real reason I loved the show was because of the interaction between Jack Albertson and Freddie Prinze. It hurt to see Jack try to carry on without his friend. I did see several of the episodes, and some of them were good, like the one where Raul gets Ed and Della drunk at a Thanksgiving dinner and they propose to one another. The ones with Charo were lame and the ones with Ed's niece were just pathetic IMHO. I hope you can find them. Most (but not all)of the regular posters on this CATM forum tend to feel like myself when it comes to the 4th season, so I dunno if many taped it. We tended to stop taping after Ed Talks To God, Freddie's last episode. Good Luck on your quest.

I can understand that completley. Freddie Prinze was a wonderful actor, and left this world much too soon. I am just very curious to see what the show was like after he was gone. Since the 4th Season shows are so hard to find, it may be a long time before I get to see any of them. But oh well I will keep on looking. They do sound somewhat interesting, but nothing will ever compare to the Freddie Prinze/Chico episodes. I had the same curiousity about the "Archie Bunker's Place" episodes a few years back and I finally got to see them when they aired on TV Land about 4 years ago. Unfortunatley, I didnt know much about Chico and the Man yet when it was on TV Land, and never bothered to tune in. I first discovered this show over the summer on the digital cable channell American Life. It's only on once a week though :(

Hello LincolnHeightsFan!
Welcome to the board and we hope that you learn alot about the show and the people behind it!:D
To answer your question about the 4th season, it is true that it tends to be a bit of a sore subject. The show itself was OK, but you just kept waiting for Chico to come bounding in like he always did. When he didn't, it was a lil upsetting.:( The most upsetting episode of the 4th season though is without a doubt, Raul Runs Away. Very sad show and when you watch it, you can really see that Jack Albertson and Scatman Crothers are not acting.:crying:
Finding the episodes is hard to do because many people didn't care for them. There is one post-Chico episode on IN2TV, but it is the first episode where they send Chico off to Mexico. Technically speaking, it's a 3rd season episode though. That might help you a lil in learning about how the show went though.
You asked about Della leaving, she did leave a lil ways into the 4th season. From the episode guide on here, she left right after the proposal, which is the one Ms LuckyMama was telling you about. After she left, they brought on Aunt Charro for Raul. She didn't work out too well though and that's when they brought the runaway, Monica. Monica wasn't much help either and the show ended on a kind of strange note. The final episode was a show where Ed was accused of peeping at a woman through her window. It wasn't him, but the woman's husband. Kind of a strange note.

Yeah season 4 isn't too popular around here. I was probably one of the few who watched it...
