I have a bit of a plea for anyone living in the NYC area...I'm supposed to be taking a train at 2:40 from the Port Jefferson train (Long Island) in to Penn Station....I know we're having bad weather all around NY, but I called the LIRR hotline and they claimed there are no significant delays to Penn Station...

Does this seem to be the case where you are? Do you expect this to change? I just didn't want to get delayed in Penn Station (I'm transferring to NJ). How are the travelling conditions? Do you think it'd be safe for me to travel by LIRR?

I wouldn't be worried.
There's no snow here in NYC, only a little sleet/freezing rain.
