Is anyone interested in seeing this film?? I first saw previews for it a couple months ago at the movie theatre, and thought it looked like it might be pretty good. I think it'll be interesting seeing him star in a dramatic role, instead of the comedic roles we're use to seeing him in. Here's the trailer for anyone who wants to check it out. Is it just me, or does he look exactly like Bob Dylan in this role?? LOL!! I don't know if he'd have the personality for it, but he sure has the look to play Dylan in a biopic!!

Big fan here, but I hate when comedy stars think they can serious roles . . .

I agree. He and Jim Carrey should really stick to comedies.

I like Adam Sandler. He often plays in comedies with dark overtones. Some of my favorites are Punch Drunk Love, and more recently Click.

I had the opportunity to view a screening of the film at South By SouthWest and it was good. It was a very long movie but well done. There are a lot of Bob Dylan songs played throughout the movie-hence his hair style. I think Adam Sandler did a very good job in such a dramatic role. After viewing the movie, Mike Binder, Don Cheadle and Adam Sandler did a Q & A, which was really cool.

I'm hoping to see this one as well... glad to hear some positive feedback on it. I love Adam Sandler, mostly in comedies... but I'm willing to give this one a shot.

I'm just glad Adam Sandler isn't being type casted, and that he's atleast getting an opportunity to play in more serious roles. Guys like Jim Carey, and more notably, guys like Robin Williams got the chance to play in more serious roles, and both of them have been very successful in making the transition. Robin Williams even won an Oscar for his dramatic role in Good Will Hunting, so it's not always a bad idea for comedic actors to make the transition.
Thanks for your review felicitylen!! After reading it, I'm even more excited about seeing this film.
