I love that song, Shadow Dancing; 1978, was a good year for music; now I feel like dancing!

It spent 6 weeks at #1 that year, Baker Street by Gerry Rafferty stalled at #2 for 6 weeks and eventually wound up at #26 for the year. Nothing against Shadow Dancing but Gerry was robbed.

YES!! Andy Gibb was at his finest, and his brothers were still riding the "Fever". Of course, the Grease soundtrack was selling like hotcakes.

"Shadow Dancing" and "Baker Street" are both terrific songs. When Andy's "I Just Want To Be Your Everything" made the top of the chart in 1977, he kept yet another Brit out of the #1 slot. That would be Peter Frampton with "I'm In You".

Does anyone know what became of the members of Player? They had a promising career but dropped out of sight after their 3rd release, Room with a View in 1981. They're credited with another release, Lost In Reality (1996) but I'm not sure how many of the original members were around for that project. I do know that guitarist Ronn Moss went on to play Ridge Forrester on The Bold & the Beautiful but that's about it.

Lost In Reality was a decent album if you like Player. ;)

Speaking of Andy Gibb, I was a contestant on a radio station music trivia game back in the early 80's. There were 2 players and each of us had to correctly answer true or false questions until one of us missed.

We each answered several fairly easy questions and then this question came up and it was the other player's turn.

True or False: The current members of the Bee Gees are Barry, Robin & Maurice Gibb? I knew right then that this game wasn't over or at least I thought it wasn't

The guy said False! When he was told that he was wrong, He protested and said that Andy Gibb was also a member of the Bee Gees. The announcer spent several minutes trying to explain why he wasn't but this guy still refused to believe him and threatend to contact the General Manager of the station.

I don't know if that happened or not, All I know is that I was declared the winner and received my prizes a few days later. I got some promo Lp's, a t-shirt and some other items.
