What is the point of N@N airing a Fresh Prince Marathon???? See I really like FPOBA and I am a fan but it already comes on every night for hours at a time so what do we need a weeks marathon for??? And the way it is advertised they are acting like they are giving us something new. There is absolutely no variety. TVLand is not any better What is wrong with these stations? Sorry I know this has been bought up before but I am just venting.

It's not about variety, it's about ratings. I flip TV Land on yesterday and I see Bonanza. I flip it on this morning and I see Bonanza. Even if you like the show you have to admit it's overplayed. It's very frustrating but not likely to change.

ahh... another Fresh Prince marathon? Rerun abuse at its finest. I can't even remember the last time I watched N@N or TVLand regularly. It's ridiculous the way both networks are being run now.

The bad thing about the week long marathons is Fresh Prince is already on a mini marathon every third night along with Cosby and Roseanne. There are not enough episodes to have these shows on marathons every time you turn around. I end up seeing the same show on the week long marathon then again when it starts the mini marathon over and over.
Regardless of the ratings for any of the shows on N@N, they do not give other shows a chance to get a fair audience and advance ratings for a newer show to the schedule.
They added Growing Pains, Different World, News Radio, Designing Women in the past several months and none of them have been on a regular time slot long enough to get a following or be found by regular viewers. News Radio was bumped for the original repeats of N@N favorites and the rest have been knocked around on the schedule or placed in a 1 showing a night or maybe only a few days and not a regular schedule.

I think TCS has been shown for at least 4 years now maybe longer and in marathons etc...I am sure that another show could play in its place and obtain ratings in a matter of time. They do not give a show time to gather viewers. If the show does not take off with the highest ratings or at least comparable ratings to the 3/4 main shows on N@N it is treated badly. Ratings are not going to get boosted for a show that is thrown around in various time slots and bumped by mini marathons. And placing a show at 8/9 PM only or at 4/5 AM is not a way to promote a new show to the channel.

Since September 2003, I've lost a lot of respect for N@N.

TvLand needs to get rid of that show too.

Don't get me started on Bonzana and Gunsmoke on all day on weekends. So on Saturdays and/or Sundays if I decide to stay home all I get on TVLand is Bonzana and Gunsmoke all day.

TV Land needs to change their non-varitey Western weekend line up! Christ, it's only been this way for about 5 years!

And on top of that they are currently showing Gunsmoke and Bonzana like 4 times a day on weekdays, then they turn around and show it all day on Saturdays and Sundays.

It's very frustrating. I only watch those channels after midnight, when I go to bed. It's one sickening diet of Fresh Prince, Roseanne, Mash, Star Trek and Bonanza. I hate when people say to just change the channel. The thing is, I need light fare such as sitcoms to put me to sleep. It's impossible for me to fall asleep without a tv on.

If I watch a movie, documentary, talk show or anything that requires thinking or will upset me, I'll be awake half the night. I'm surprised someone hasn't created a network that gives viewers what they want.

thing is, there are only so many episode of Fresh Prince. unless they repeat episodes, they're going to go through 95% of Fresh Prince's episode this week alone. I admit, I think it's a hilarious show, but seeing the same episode over and over again gets old.

So do I. That's just ignoring the problem. A marathon of one show, keeps me from watching another show on that channel that I like. Like when NewsRadio was replaced with Roseanne in the Summer marathons. That really ticked me off. Fans of Roseanne were happy, but I got screwed. Of course, I have the show on DVD, but that's not the point. They should cut down on the marathons, have more variety, and quit changing their schedule every two days.

It's enough that Noggin shows FPOBA starting at 3pm...then you have N@N with MORE OF THIS GARBAGE!!!! God, it is sickening. Mini-marathons, then marathons.

I miss the days when tv stations would just air one episode of a show. If TV Land or N@N did that we'd have more variety.

I don't know anyone who enjoys the tvland western lineup! I rather watch roseanne and fresh prince over and over than that stupid western s*it. Little House is ok but its kinda boring also.

old people. they can't get enough of Bonanza and Gunsmoke. and since they're usually always home, they're the ones who give the westerns their huge ratings.

Yeah, I agree completely. Changing the channel doesn't make you hate the situation any less.

I admit, until recently, I was one of those people. Now, however, the problem has gotten out of hand. And I agree the stations should be held accountable; if we just say to change the channel, we let them off the hook.
