Guys,

Watch "Art and the Addams Family" on DVD in the scene where Sam Picasso has left the "playroom" and Wednesday starts to paint and hears Gomez and Morticia coming to the room. The captioning has dialog with Morticia talking about Wednesday going to the tuna cannery! However AFAIK, there is no sound that matches this dialog! This captioned dialog is taken from "Wednesday Leaves Home," where she tells Pugsly that she is going away to the tuna cannery and Gomez and Morticia are looking for her, and Mortica has a line about Wednesday's fingers bleeding from opening cans at the tuna cannery.

Seems to be a case of inadvertent added captioning where there shouldn't be.

Actually, the closed captioning is correct; the flaw is in the missing audio. I remember watching that episode several times and noticing the re-use of the dialog to alert Wednesday to her parents coming. My guess would be that there was probably a problem with the original dialog and both actors were unavailable for a looping session, so the producers just used audio from another episode assuming nobody would notice.
