View Full Version : Weekend Coffee Chat!
Janice 03-10-2007, 12:20 PM Happy Weekend, my friends! So what does everyone have going on for today or the weekend? I'm not doing much of anything today. My friend and her husband are coming over later for Chinese food, yum!
Someone please pass me a dougnut. Not that one, the jelly one. ;)
Ireneparalegal 03-10-2007, 12:23 PM *pouring coffee and grabbing a chocolate donut* Mmmmm chinese food, will there be chopsticks Janice?
I am waiting for my boyfriend to get ready so we could head out the door to see his granddaughter play soccer this morning. Then, will head to my sister's house for breakfast and chatting.
Dr. Jazz 03-10-2007, 01:32 PM I start work in five hours. Tonight I get to serve warrants to unsuspecting drug dealers throughout the city - should be fun! lol
Number 9 Dream 03-10-2007, 01:33 PM Hey, everyone :D
I'm working today, as usual...trying to save up as much money as possible for my trip next weekend. I'm now waiting on lunch (mm, Subway!), and after that I'll be showering and getting ready to leave. Meh, I wanna stay in my pjs :( :p Tonight, I'm probably meeting up with some friends...not sure what we're doing yet.
Tomorrow is my town's annual St. Patty's Day parade (my bosses run the whole thing...they're big in the community), so I might go there for a few hours with some friends, then head to my Mom's house for a visit in the late afternoon. The evening will be my time to do laundry, do some homework, work some more on my fanfic...that sort of stuff :)
PZelda 03-10-2007, 01:37 PM Well, I really don't have anything going on. My dad has been on vacation in Honduras for the last week, and he is coming home today -- but his flight won't get in until 10:30 at night. Sooooo, I won't see him until tomorrow for sure.
I really don't have much planned for the next several days, as I am on my spring break right now (started yesterday! Woohoo!). I do need to bring out my suitcase soon, though, being that I'll be flying out to Los Angeles on Wednesday. I'll actually be in Long Beach, though, not LA. I will VERY hopefully have a chance to meet Tara when I'm in southern California. :D
Ohhh wait, I just remembered. I'm going out later tonight with a friend and her fiancee for their birthday dinners- my friend is 24 today, and her fiancee'll be turning 25 on Monday. We're planning on going to a Mexican restaurant here in town - it's both of our faves, so that shall be fun. :)
Brian Damage 03-10-2007, 02:03 PM Tonight, I'll be going out to dinner with my wife to celebrate my birthday. My kids are off to my inlaws. :D
dawsongirl 03-10-2007, 02:32 PM Painting my bedroom. Writing a paper. Dad's birthday dinner.
Hola!
Last night we had a "reunion" of sorts at the Gaf. Lots of the regulars showed up late into the evening - the first time in a long time so many of us were together at once. Lots of fun.
Today I'm going to see the movie "300" in IMax. I'm not to sure if I'm going to like this movie, but I'm sure it will be interesting seeing it on the gigantic IMax screen.
Dutabi84 03-10-2007, 03:26 PM I've been falling behind on my not doing anything lately, so I'll probably catch up on some of that.
Hollow 03-10-2007, 03:45 PM my best friend appears to be avoiding me so he won't have to explain why he lied to me about messing around with my friend when he didn't.
*shrugs*
swedeace 03-10-2007, 04:44 PM Good afternoon, all! It's already 1:36 p.m. over here.
I'm currently at work for another 3.5 hours, but I plan on heading home and re-organizing and doing some more cleaning. I am now pumped because I got my bed back! I now have an actual *gasp* bed!!! So, I am even more motivated to clean up and organize so I can sleep on my bed tonight.
I am picky, so I want to find some good sheets on sale to match my yellow/blue Swedish flag motif in my room. I tried to tell this to my mom this morning, but she started nagging me on how I am wasting my money purchasing stuff. Grrrrr.... Well, I am looking for good sales. I already checked one local Wal-Mart and one local K-Mart this morning. Any other ideas on where some yellow and/or pale blue sheets might be on sale?
Brad Russ 03-10-2007, 04:54 PM I have a few plans for today. I was going to go for a walk at the River with my mom, but it's raining, so that's not looking too good right now. So instead, I'm planning on getting my haircut in a little bit. I'm actually looking at prices online right now, trying to find the cheapest place, since I'm saving money. I'm also probably going to be going out on a date later tonight. I was talking online last night with this woman I've known for awhile, and asked her if she wanted to go out, and she said yes. I'm going to call her at 3:00 pm, and we're going to iron out the details and everything. I've been avoiding dating for the last month, since last month I had the date from hell!!!!!!! Janice know's what I'm talking about!!! But I think I'm ready to give it another try. LOL!! I don't have any Sunday plans yet, but I'm sure that'll change.
PZelda 03-10-2007, 05:03 PM Mona, how about Target? I know they have pale blue sheets there, not sure about pale yellow. But you can give it a try. :) Don't think they're on sale, tho.

Thanks. I'll have to check them out after work.
freshprinceofLA 03-10-2007, 05:34 PM Well I woke up about half an hour ago. I got confirmation class (religious ed) It's going to be really boring. It starts at 2:30pm till 6:00pm. Church is included.

Lazy bones!!! ;)
I just came back from the 4:00 showing of "300" in IMax.
I really liked it. Very impressive. Visually, an amazing achievement. I highly reccommend this one.
And coming from me, that says a lot.
;)

Haaa! I always wake up really late and sleep really late during weekends or when I have the chance. Damn school too stressfull. I don't get much sleep during school days. But on weekends I do.

She never called me back. :crying: Oh well, I took my dog for a walk instead, and we both had a great time!! :D It saved me a bunch of money too, so that's always a plus. ;)

I'm sorry she never called you back Brad. Then again, your dog probably has better manners, lol. j/k. ;)
It's 50 degrees and sunny here, so I think we'll go for a stroll today. We live near a river with a walking trail, so it's handy.
Ireneparalegal 03-11-2007, 06:45 PM We just got back from the beach abt an hour ago. I feel so refreshed.

That awesome!! :D There's no feeling in the world that can compare to the feeling of walking on the beach, on a beautiful day. I'm so glad you had such a nice time Irene!! :)
As for me, my mom, my dog Salem, and I, just got back from a two hour walk along the Sandy River. It was so refreshing, and absolutely beautiful out. 68 degrees, with a warm breeze hitting us, and keeping us cool. I'm so looking forward to Spring and Summer, when I'll get to enjoy beautiful weather like this everyday.
As of 10 minutes ago, I have more plans. My friend Donna called, and asked me if I wanted to go with her to see Bridge To Terrabithia, so we are going to go to the 5:15 pm showing. So far, this has turned out to be a great day!! :D

It's okay Janice, I had more fun with Salem than I probably would have had with her anyway, so I'm not sweating it. ;)
Awww, I hope you had/have a great time on your walk Janice. Taking the time to put our lives on hold, and just enjoy the beauty of the world, is such an awesome thing. I hope you and Lou are having a great day!! :)

Ha ha ha, I definitely will!!! :D
I had a pretty good weekend at the Gaf working the door. Things were pertty slow, so i didn't have to do much. Last night I met a few semi regular girls who as it turns out are big fans of the Gaf Myspace page. So nice to have a couple of cute girls who like my work.
I hope to see them next weekend. I think one of them likes me.
;)
Janice 03-11-2007, 11:47 PM ^ Good luck with that TJL. :)
This weekend flew by. Time flies when you're doing nothing, lol. Does anyone have the Sunday night blues? When I was in school or working full-time, I always had a pit in my stomach on Sunday nights, especially if I hated my job.
Brian Damage 03-11-2007, 11:53 PM I actually look forward to Mondays. It is usually a light work day and I get to see Monday Night Raw. (I am a big wrestling fan.)
