I don't know if there's any way to see it now. It was I'd say middling as sitcom reunions go. Oliver and Lisa go back to New York...Lisa starts doing a lot of painting...there are also scenes with Eb on the farm.
It was okay. Most reunions are not a good idea I think. The only one I remember enjoying was The Odd Couple one, but I think that was mainly done so Jack Klugman could start working again after his throat surgery. At least that was my impression. I remember Tony Randall doing commercials with Jack around that time as well.
omg65 03-10-2007, 03:34 PM IMO a very bad movie that never should have been made.

I agree, most reunion movies have not worked. The only "remake" movies that have worked well were "Bewitched" and "Maverick"
TURBOCSX 03-10-2007, 07:48 PM i never saw it, but anything i ever read about it stated it wasn't good.
Scoobiedoo30 03-11-2007, 01:11 AM The last time it was seen on TV was December of 2006
TVJunkie101 03-11-2007, 08:24 AM It was aired on my local UPN a few years back. I taped it. I have it somewhere. It wasn't that good.
One of the reunion movies I want to see is Return of the Beverly Hillbillies, only because I heard it was really bad.
treky 03-13-2007, 04:09 PM yes; you're right. "Return of THE BEVERLY HILLBILLIES" was HORRIBLE!!!And so was "Return to GREEN ACRES"
Scoobiedoo30 03-14-2007, 12:51 AM I wish my Local station would play the movie again
TV_on_the_Porch 06-02-2007, 02:18 AM Return to Green Acres was not horrible. I think the first response describing it as "middling" is very fair and accurate.
It was not even in the same plane of existance of badness as Return of The Beverly Hillbillies.
comedyfreak 06-02-2007, 04:37 AM I didn't think it was that bad, it was good to see the gang together again. I have it on dvd, which I bought on iOffer.com.
Scoobiedoo30 06-02-2007, 12:12 PM I like The Return to Green Acres
Evagabor4ever 10-18-2007, 09:05 PM I ppersonally liked it. All though the reviews I've read have'nt been too good. It was nice to see all of the cast back together again.
treky 10-25-2007, 04:34 PM well, I still say it was HORRIBLE! Same with RETURN OF THE BEVERLY HILLBILLIES.
The only good reunion movies that I've seen were RETURN TO MAYBERRY, THE ODD COUPLE-TOGETHER AGAIN, and THE DICK VAN DYKE SHOW REVISITED
comedyfreak 11-23-2007, 06:37 AM I also liked all the Gilligan's Island reunion movies, although the third one was the weakest.
Dusty's Fan 11-28-2007, 06:44 PM While overall not as good as Return to Mayberry, I thought Return to Green Acres was pretty respectable and I enjoyed it. The writing and acting seemed to have the right touch.
I found a VHS copy of it from when it was originally aired. I watched a little bit of it again, and it wasn't as bad as I remembered. It WAS good to see the old gang again. Lisa was still as loopy as ever. Alf and Ralph were still working on the house. Mr. Haney was up to his old tricks still trying to make money. The plot wasn't very good, and Eddie Albert didn't want to do it after he saw the script, but they threatened to sue him if he didn't do it.
Scoobiedoo30 06-17-2008, 01:27 PM what made him Decided to do the movie
LucilleBallfan 12-29-2010, 10:06 PM i have seen it, and i do think it was a little corny, but i liked it. if you have never seen it, and would like to watch it, it has been put on youtube.
allstar77 02-13-2011, 10:00 AM The only thing I liked was the sets.
MichaelKeith 04-27-2011, 05:01 PM I saw it for the first time since it originally aired back in 1990 on Netflix last week.
Of course it wasn't as good as the original, but overall, it wasn't bad as reunion movies go. It was good to see how everyone looked after 19 years of the show being off the air. Eva Gabor really kept her figure.
McGillicuddy 04-27-2011, 05:21 PM Yeah, the best thing was to see so many castmembers together again. The only ones missing were Mr. & Mrs. Ziffell, Newt Kiley, Mother Douglass and the Petticoat Junction gang. Also it happened very timely as Eva Gabor, Pat Buttrum and Alvy Moore passed away with in a few years.
BigManMike 04-27-2011, 08:29 PM I saw it when it aired in the late night hours on UPN back in October 2004. I taped it and watched it later. I thought it was pretty good. I haven't seen it since then, but I still have the tape and I'll have to see it again sometime.
lovebetty 04-28-2011, 01:05 AM I thought it seemed to corny. I liked the some of the NYC Scenes though. I loved the Trump Tower reference. I've been thinking of that latley.
Miss Lisa 04-28-2011, 12:00 PM It was bad. I mean some of it was okay and it did have its funny moments, but it was just too different from the original show. Certain things were just over done, like Mr. Haney's need to get money. I think a lot of it had to do with the time setting too. The movie was shot in the 90's while the show was mainly in the 60's. The fans had to take in abrupt changes instead of gradual changes with everyone. Theres just also the fact that most of the lower budget movies of the 90's seem to be corney.
Lisa_Eva 08-01-2011, 03:09 AM The movie was awful but I enjoyed it anyway. Btw, you can see it on youtube.
Albert71292 10-15-2011, 01:01 PM I saw it for the first time since it aired the other day on "Blockbuster Movie Pass", which is included in my Dish Network package. It was more entertaining than I remembered. Will probably watch it again soon, if they don't remove it.
