I found it funny watching a Cosby show ep and saw how when you are a preteen and a teen you are so anxious to get older and we would say 16 and a half. Well I'm 31 and done with that"A HALF" mess-lol I will hold on to the age of 31 to june 22nd. Not anxious to get older anymore

I stopped saying "half" when I was 14. That "half" sh*t is stupid to say as an adult. By the time I hit 21, I did most things I shouldn't have done.

Only if we knew what we know now, we would have never said A HALF back then-lol

you are right. Also, if I had known back then how much trouble life can be as an adult, I would have enjoyed my pre-teen years more.

I still use "half" -- just because I'm accurate to a fault.

I think I really stopped saying it at 19. I thought it sounded kinda stupid to say '20-and-a-half.' I was living overseas at the time, so there was no point in counting down to the big 2-1 ;)

So I'm 24. That's it. I'm in no hurry to turn 25, it'll be here too soon anyways.

I think I last used it when I was 15. When I lost my virginity, all that half crap went out the window.

I don't think adults say 23 and a half, 54 and a half, etc. Kids normally want to seem older than their age, causing them to add the half. 14 and a half sounds older than just 14, for example. Adults normally want to seem younger than their age and forget that they are arging, so I doubt that someone with that mentality would add 'and a half' after their age.
