I'd like to ask another 2-parter about television series on disc:

1. First, what are some television series that you would get on disc if you had the money and if they were available?

I'd get "Trapper John, M.D.", "Remington Steele," and future seasons of "Hart to Hart", "Hill Street Blues," and "St. Elsewhere," among others.

2. On the other hand, what are some television series that you would not get on disc, even if you had the money and even if they were available?

Series that fall into that category for me include "Seinfeld," "Friends," "Will and Grace," and almost every other '90's-current sitcom/series, and also the first 3 and last "Star Trek"'s ("TOS", "Next Generation", "DS9", and "Enterprise"), among others.

I would definitely buy "The Lucy Show" and "Here's Lucy." I do not know why it is taking Paramount Home Video so long in releasing "THE LUCY SHOW." I would love to see a season by season release with season 1 out before Christmas. Also, I would like to see "Here's Lucy" released by seasons and not another best of release.

I think they are treating "The Lucy Show" like the next thing after "I Love Lucy" and "Lucy-Desi Comedy Hour". As much as we all wish we had seen this on dvd sooner, it seems like they are waiting for the completion of "I Love Lucy" before moving on to the next series. Honestly, I hope they don't wait for the Complete Box set before announcing Season 1 of "The Lucy Show". I agree. I want Season 1 before Christmas. It has both a New Years and Christmas episode on it. It would be perfect to have for the holidays! :)

Those are some great responses. I'll tell you what else I wouldn't touch-- any of the '70's sitcoms ("What's Happening!!!", "Happy Days", "Welcome Back, Kotter," etc.) and any other series from the '70's on back to the '50's.

I very definitely changed my mind about Star Trek-- I have all of TOS (1966-69) and all of Voyager (1995-01). Those that I absolutely want no part of are TNG, DS9, and Enterprise-- I didn't care for any of them.

I have all six versions (That's The Original Series, the Animated Series, TNG, DS9, Voyager and Enterprise for those of you in Rio Linda! ) of this show. I received TAS as a Christmas Present, I paid full price for TOS (The Blu-Ray version was CHEAPER than the DVD version   ) and the remaining versions for a wallet-busting $100.00 at a yard sale. :D
