LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - Jeffrey Tambor has joined CBS' comedy pilot "The Captain," which stars Fran Kranz as a young writer who moves into a historic Hollywood apartment building. Tambor will play a retired TV writer who lives in the building. His recent credits include the short-lived NBC sitcom "Twenty Good Years" and Fox's "Arrested Development."
