What were the ages of all the kids (the characters, not the actors in real life) when the show started? Also, how old was Cody when he joined?

View Full Version : Ages? Eegoots 03-06-2007, 08:30 PM What were the ages of all the kids (the characters, not the actors in real life) when the show started? Also, how old was Cody when he joined? Buffyboy323 03-30-2007, 10:18 PM When the show first starts the kids are..... Dana 16 J.T. 15 Karen 14 Mark 11 Al 11 Brendan 7 I'm not sure how old Cody was in the 1st season, but he was probably 17. I'm not positive though. Furienna 04-13-2007, 11:09 AM Al was a few years older than Mark. If Mark was eleven, I would say she was thirteen. And Cody... Well, he was the only kid over eighteen in one episode, when the others wanted him to buy stocks for them. But I don't know how old he was when the show started. tiff7 05-30-2008, 03:16 PM hey Buffyboy, how do u know this? I guess by what age the cast member was during each season? http://www.myspace.com/wdwdancetwirlnut Lorimar Television 05-30-2008, 05:10 PM Brendan was 6 at the beginning. He turned 7 in early season one though. tiff7 02-02-2009, 04:16 PM dana was 20 in the disney episodes Nighthawk76 02-02-2009, 05:39 PM This is what I've been able to put together from watching the episodes. Dana was born in 1976 or really late in 1975. She was a sophomore during the first season. JT was born in either 1976 or 1977 and if I remember correctly, during the first season ,he was either a freshman or a sophomore. It has been so long since I've seen the first season. Karen was born in 1978 and was in 8th grade during the first season. She would have been 13. Al was born in 1979. She would have had to have been 12 during the first season. Mark was born in 1981 and would have been 10 during the first season. Nighthawk76 02-10-2009, 06:13 PM I'm starting to think that the producers changed the age of some of the characters during the show's run. Just like the producers of The Facts of Life changed Blair's age early on to make her a year younger. I'm pretty sure that on SBT they changed Karen'e age between the fifth and sixth season. During the fifth season Karen was a senoir in high school, but in season six she is still in high school. Big C 02-10-2009, 06:57 PM Al was born in 1979. She would have had to have been 12 during the first season. they changed Karen'e age between the fifth and sixth season. During the fifth season Karen was a senoir in high school, but in season six she is still in high school. This I don't get, in light of Angie's real-life age. Angela Watson was actually three years older than her character was at the start of the show (born in 1975). Why couldn't they have been as accurate as they were with Al? (Christine Lakin, in real life, was/is as old as Al was on the show.) Furienna 02-11-2009, 06:20 AM Yeah, they could have let Karen start college. browneyes106 03-10-2009, 12:19 AM I'm starting to think that the producers changed the age of some of the characters during the show's run. During the fifth season Karen was a senoir in high school, but in season six she is still in high school. I think that happened too. I noticed that on some of the other shows that ages of characters get changed. On Boy Meets World their ages were changed because in one of the episodes set during the middle school years it was mentioned that Topanga, Corey and Sean would graduate in 2000 but in later episodes they graduated in 1998. One recent example is on Friday Night Lights the ages of Lyla, Tyra and Tim were changed to make them two years younger. |
