jamesanthony 03-06-2007, 11:51 PM The 80s had a whole bunch: Yah Mo B There is a success on all levels: music, words, production and vocals. Islands in the Stream is also very enjoyable (the Bee Gees in the background help tremendously). Knew You Were Waiting for Me by Aretha Franklin and George Michael brings out the best in both of those performers for that era in their careers. Also Roberta Flack and Donny Hathaway had tremendous chemistry on their records as did Barbra Streisand with several people she teamed up with over the years (not Don Johnson though). Dionne Warwick and the Spinners on Then Came You also clicked.
I guess it works best when these singers have some type of rapport with each other.

Agreed! Roberta Flack and Donny Hathaway did several terrific duets ("You Are My Heaven" is my favorite).
Syreeta Wright had an angelic voice, and had several talented duet partners: Stevie Wonder, Smokey Robinson, G.C. Cameron, Billy Preston and Jermaine Jackson. "Stay With Love" from The Jacksons: An American Dream album is AWESOME!! :D
"Whenever I Call You Friend" by Kenny Loggins & Stevie Nicks is awesome, too. :D

Enough is Enough is a classic...especially when it gets fast. I found this on wikipedia (and have seen these episodes/clips so I know it's true!!):
The song has been featured in many television shows, most notably in a 1980 episode of the soap opera The Guiding Light, in which a pregnant Rita Bauer (Lenore Kasdorf) was chased through a "hall of mirrors" attraction by the crazed Roger Thorpe (Michael Zaslow). The orchestrated sequence won The Guiding Light a Daytime Emmy in 1981.
The song was also featured in the Will & Grace episode "An Old-Fashioned Piano Party," in which Grace and Larry reach the climax of the song, playing the piano and repeating "Enough is enough is enough is enough is enough..." to which Karen yells, "That's enough!"
Family Guy Presents: Stewie Griffin: The Untold Story also featured adult and baby Stewie singing a duet of this song.
