There is new show on Fox called The Winner. It takes place in the early 90's and the lead character's favorite tv show is WINGS. I watched the 2 episodes on tonight and there were a couple of references to WINGS which I thought was cool but I doubt this show will be on long, certainly not 172 episodes. In the first episode he was on a job interview and said his favorite tv star was Steve Webber and in the second episode he asked his parents to tape the WINGS episode that guest starred Tyne Daly. Maybe the references to WINGs will get some people who have forgotten WINGS to buy the DVDs.

I watched both episodes of that show too. It did have some funny moments. I liked the Wings references. :lol:

The thing I didn't like about The Winner last night is the idea of a grown man befriending a 13 year-old child and discussing sex and condoms and stuff with him. I know it's supposed to be innocent, but still... :rolleyes:
