I haven't seen all the eps either, but I know of two Lt. Governors that were shown. One was Ed Sherman in "Chain of Command." The other was in "The Scandel," named Decker (don't recall if they said his first name)

Sherman was very ambitious and plotted a lot while Decker was corrupt and took bribes.

Did they ever mention who Gene succeeded, BTW? From what he told Benson in the pilot, that person seemed to be shady as well. ANyone know?

I don't know if Gatling was the immediate successor of him or not, but in "Takin' It To The Streets" he tells a man over the phone, "I'm sorry, but Governor Dexter passed away several years ago." The only other Governors mentioned (to the best of my recollection) were Delaney and Hartwick in "Ghost Story", but they went back to the 1800s.

I also believe only Benson had his Lt Governor's office in the Governor's mansion. I'm pretty sure the other Lt Governors under Gatling had their offices at the Capitol Building.

He probably didn't like them well enough to offer a mansion office. He's polite and looks for the positive side of people, but he seems good at picking up on bad vibes.

Sorry, forgot to add this! The other governor I have note of is Ichabod Broone, who was tarred and feathered, then hung in 1840. ("Fool's Gold")

Boy, this state has had some leadership problems, hasn't it?

I remember an episode where The guy who played Janet Husband on Three's Company played The LT Governor when Governor Gatling was sick

Oh yeah, I forgot about him! Tarred and feathered!

Yeah, that's why Gatling was told he had to run for Governor--they needed someone honest in the Capitol and hadn't had an honest Governor in years.

Oh, here's another one: I was just watching "The Little Hotel That Could" and Eddie the hotel owner mentions a Governor Primrose from 1925.

Excellent, I didn't have Gov. Primrose on my list. *makes note*

ALso, I watched "The Scandel" last night and the corrupt Lt. Gov's full name is Jerry Decker.
