The main reason that I bought a few of the Full House DVD boxed sets, is because of the fact there are extra scenes that haven't been seen since their original airings. Even ABC Family doesn't show complete episodes like they do with Family Matters. So far I have the 2nd and 5th Seasons, and I must say there are quite a few scenes and lines that are deleted on the syndicated version

In the episode Joey gets tough after D.J. walks into Danny's studio while he's singing Proud Mary with Jessie's band, there is a scene in the DVD when he has a brief convo with D.J. about Joey punishing her the night before that's not on syndication.

In D.J.'s very first horse, there is an entire scene that is cut from syndication where Jessie is in the livingroom blowing up some sore of inflatable toy for Michelle and is having trouble doing so, Becky comes in and they have a brief talk and Becky tells Jessie she's happy being friends with him.

In the Season 5 episode play it again Jessie, there is a scene in the Grocery Store right after the part when Jessie starts throwing a bunch of Elvis Peanut Butter in the cart, when a man with glasses approaches Jessie saying how he saw him on TV, and how it's good to meet a fellow house husband and mistakingly calls him Mr. Donaldson, which makes more since when we here Jessie later in the show tell Becky "say goodbye to Mr. Donaldson" when he is leaving for the airport to sing.

In the Season 2 premire cutting it close there is a scene in Stephanie's bedroom that we don't see in Syndication right after she cuts Jessies hair, where she rips her bed apart and says she doesn't deserve pillows sheets or blankets.

For anyone else who has any other of the seasons, does anyone else know of any major cuts?

Many scenes are cut in syndication, but major long scenes are these:

In the first episode they cut out half of the part where they sing The Flinstones.

In The First Day of School, they cut out a part where Joey says hes ready to give Michelle her bath, and DJ and Steph come in with chairs and DJ says "If we missed anything stupid, could you start over?" And at the end the guys walk out, revealing Jesse has donkey tails (from pin-the-tail-on-the-donkey) on his butt.

In Our Very First Promo, they rearrange the order of parts. After Jesse goes to find the ferret, he walks down the living room stairs and the door bell rings, DJ and Steph go up to the door and DJ says "That could be the lady whos putting us on tv" He says "Im hot on the trail of the ferret", and Steph says "Nail him, Uncle Jesse".

In Sister Love, they cut an entire scene where Jesse, DJ and Steph walk in to an office to audition, and the lady tells DJ to leave her picture, and DJ tells her she doesn't have a picture, and Stephanie with a drawing says "Yes you do. I didn't have time to draw hair".

In A Pox in Our House they cut out a part where Jesse bets Joey he can't stop scratching his chicken pox.

ALL season 2 and 3 episodes and all but the last episode of season 4 have cold opens, but many are cut out. Season 5 has 14 episodes withe cold opens, and 12 with out.

Off the top of my head/ones I remember:

Season 3: "Honey, I Broke the House" - A little bit longer tak with jesse on the DVDs than they show in syndication. Also, right before Joey walks in the door and Danny said "you had us worried sick," D.J. looks in from the kitchen and asks something like, "Should i set the car for dinner," and Danny says "Yes, but use the good hubcaps." Not as important as some others, but a funny joke, anyway.

“Joey, Stacy, and…Oh, Yeah, Jesse," whole scene where Steph talks about trying the dog's food; Danny asks if she did that, and she says something along the lines of that would be crazy, so she gave some to Michelle to try.

Season 4: Forget which episode, but there's a hilarious (to me, anyway) bit where Danny walks in the house with the newspaper in his mouth, talking to Comet about how he wants Comet to do it (but of course, it's very muffled). Had me LOL.

Season 5: Michelle bargains a little more about the "no TV' bit in "The Devil Made Me Do it," about renting a video, etc.

(Which caused some stuff in Chronooogy to be rearranged, so there's more need for Danny to sound tougher - the incident mentioned in "Shash Club: The Next generation" is now considered to be just a week before this, as if she put her Gumby in the microwave it would short out lots of stuff and cause Jesse to need new equipment. You can check that for details.)

Most of the others, from what I recall, have just been teasers that were cut. Hmmm, oh yes...

In the episode where Steph wants to watch the scary movie ("Baby Love," I think), I don't recall D.J. laughing at Steph's one-liner to Kimmy like she does on the DVD; it seems like they cut out several seconds of that, but I could be wrong. My guess is Candace was having trouble keeping her laughter in, but it seemed so natural that they kept it in the original airing. Same with Jesse snickering as he's practicing with Joey in "The IQ Man." It's been a while since I saw those on TV, though, so maybe that's in there.
