I skipped my english class at 9 to meet with my advisor. Only I dont know if the Honor Office even opens at 9. And if they do, i dont know if I can get in right away. So I basically skipped my english class for no reason yay.

Maybe I should call them now. But I hate talking to people on the phone. DAMN.

I guess my insecurities lay with the feeling like I wasn't growing into society's definition of beautiful. My nose was too big. My breasts were too small. My thighs were too thick. I was ashamed of my height. The list could go on and on. My sister was involved in "the pageant circuit", and because she was wearing beautiful gowns and winning trophies, I wanted to be a contestant, too. Well, she would come home with trophies as tall as her and I would have my one talent trophy. So that, to me, meant I was the talented one and my sister, the beautiful one. The judges had placed those labels on us and I believed those labels. I still believe those labels. There are some days when I look in the mirror and still see that awkward, disproportionate young girl. But instead of cursing my full thighs, I bless them. These are the legs that have danced on Broadway, climbed through the pyramids in Egypt, carried my sleeping neice through Disneyland. If my nose was not the size and shape it is now, I would not have the same vocal quality as I do. It allows me to sing and that is my greatest joy. I won't go into the "breast debate", but they are mine. They are healthy and one day they will feed my children. I know this all sounds rather dramatic. But I can't be complacent about the miracle of the human body and how mine works perfectly for me and God's plan for my life.

I love SJB for that. So much. Oh my god.

That was a traumatizing experience. I forgot I posted a thread about it. Yeah, it's one of those things that if you hear the story it's funny but when it happens to you...awful.
