Theme by Charles Fox and Arnold Margolin

Love, Love, Love

Love, American Style,
Truer than the Red, White and Blue.
Love, American Style,
That's me and you.

And on a star spangled night my love, (My love come to me).
You can rest you head on my shoulder.
Out by the dawn's early light, my love
I will defend your right to try.

Love, American Style,
That's me and you.

Isn't that one lyric:

"I will defend your right to cry"

I've listened to it about 5 times and it sounds like "try" to me. If you can find any concrete evidence of "cry" please let us know.

the correct lyric is "I will defend your right to try." I know because I wrote it. Although, "cry," works in some situations, I grant you that. Arnold Margolin

Thank you Mr. Margolin, I don't think I could ask for any more concrete evidence then that! http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/smile.gif

What were the names of the singers on this wonderful theme song? The male voice almost sounds familiar but I can't quite place it.

This was another gem by The Cowsills, who were like the real life Partridge Family. They also sing two of my top 10 favorites of all time...Hair and The Rain, The Park & Other Things (I Love the Flower Girl). Saw them in concert recently and they are still great.
