A) More Sleep

B) a Day to do the things you enjoy doing

C) Both

As i became older its a day for me to do the things I enjoy doing like listening to Sports radio and being on the Internet. I wake up early on my days off and can't MOVE on the days I go to work

I do both, unless my wife has a day of chores or activities to do.

Both....I like to sleep in, as well as do various things I've been meaning to do but can't (go shopping, write, laundry, hang with friends for as long as I want, etc).

Means not having to do squat. I mean, take a shower and not put on make-up, wear sweats and an old t-shirt, not make dinner and either read, watch television or be on the computer.

Just not having to be there. It's a mental health day for me. Any day away from work is awesome.

mostly for me it's more sleeping (sometimes too much!) but basically just any day I'm off work and for me with several jobs, that's rare!

If you have a wife and kids and a house, a day off means you pretty much don't have a day off.

Unless of course you have specific plans for the day.

I'm single with no kids, so I get to dictate what I do on a day off from work!! :woohoo: I have one weekday and one weekend day off. So on a weekday off I will usually use it to make a appt. with doctor, dentist, hairdresser, etc. when necessary. If I don't have to schedule an appt. maybe I will shop or go to the library, but I usually just stay home and do my laundry. :D On a weekend day off I just SLEEP!!! YAY!!

Little advice for you, NEVER EVER use one of your days off to go to the doctor or dentist. You take a HALF of day and leave early from work

Lately? My life has consisted of getting ready to move. I have been packing, painting, deciding which stuff I want to keep and throwing stuff away, going to Home Depot, getting carpet installed, tile installed. Runnig boxes over to our storage unit. So I have no chance to sleep except late at night. I have no chance to watch tv, unless i take a short break.

I actually look forward to going back to work on Monday....

Oh, I am taking off work this Thursday, but I am a chaperone for my son's field trip. So no relaxing there.....

Ain't that the damn truth!!!!! With a five year old, I can never "just relax". I get lucky and he and his dad go off somewhere together and I can "chill" but that is a rarity since even if I am alone, I find there are things that still need to be done.

LOL Well my 3 year old thinks that she goes to school LOL, But she's really going to day care. My 1 yr old stays home with a nanny. So even if I don't go to work on some days I still can't just chill out, I always have a kid in toe who's either whinny, hungry, wants to play. Although one weekend last summer I had all to myself when my husband took my kids out to his parents for the weekend. LOL

HA! That's a laugh, even when I'm home and on the computer, I have someone in the room with me or on my lap sleeping or just sitting.
