Nah. I often get bored watching the Oscars now. I'd just want to see the major award speeches, and I can see those on YouTube.

I'm with you. I always watch the Oscars, but it is even better when Ellen DeGeneres hosts it.

They've had some really bad hosts recently. Steve Martin, Chris Rock, and Jon Stewart are all good comics, but they all have no idea how to host the Oscars. Ellen's done the Emmys before, so I think she'll do a good job.

*sigh* Our generation needs another Bob Hope.

We tried to drive past the Kodak Theatre but there was so much traffic, we then found out that the road was closed to thru traffic which made so much congestion. If the weather is like it was today, it will be GREAT!

I wouldn't miss it for the world. I had an opportunity to go to a concert but can't miss the Oscars with Ellen hosting.

Im going to check it out, at least they will announce the best supporting actor and actress within the first hour to prevent early boredom.

I just wanted to remind everyone that The 79th Annual Oscars hosted by Ellen Degeneres will be on tonight at 7:30 on ABC.

Did anyone get a chance to see the Independent Spirit Awards last night? It was live from Venice, California. Yesterday on our way back from Hollywood, we passed through there and there were the huge tents and limos galore...not to mention traffic congestion.

I love those awards because they honor those who directed, made, acted, etc. in independent movies such as Little Miss Sunshine. Those are movies that the big movie studios didn't want to finance for whatever bullsh*t reason, hence the name INDEPENDENT movies.

Little Miss Sunshine came away the big winner yesterday. The show was shown again this morning.

I might order some pizza for tonight....let someone else go out in this mess. :lol:

I thought Ellen Degeneres did a Great job at the Oscars.
