Whatever happened with that poisoned Russian spy story? It was huge news for several weeks, but then we didn't hear any more about it.

Also, what happened with that guy who claimed he killed JonBenet? Is that sicko still walking free somewhere?

We also never hear about Natalie Holloway anymore. Of course I believe that any missing person story should be kept in the limelight until the person is found.

We also never hear about Natalie Holloway anymore. Of course I believe that any missing person story should be kept in the limelight until the person is found.

If that was the case, the news would be dominated with missing person stories 24/7. The only reason Natalee Holloway was given news coverage was because she was a pretty, well-to-do white girl who went missing, and the circumstances themselves had a very sensationalist twist that made trash TV shows like Entertainment Tonight squeal with delight.

There are tons of missing person cases that don't even get touched by the national news.

Back in 2001, it was impossible to escape the 24/7 coverage of the Gary Condit/Chandra Levy story. It stopped abruptly however, on 9/11/01.
