I'm bumping up this post because it's a topic that nobody replied to (at least not this particular thread).
I only have a handful of episodes right now, so I'll answer this based on episodes 1-4. Even in those few episodes, there are a bunch of great comedic moments, but I've narrowed it down:
#1 From the pilot episode "Mrs. Livingston, I Presume"
Eddie has invited "Dolly", a young starlet, to stay with him and his "kind, generous, and handsome father", before Tom has a chance to protest. Back at home, Eddie is in bed and Tom is telling him he can't go around inviting young ladies to stay with them. "But didn't you teach me to not be selfish and share my things?" Eddie asks. Tom replies, "Yes - but not me, and not our home! "Oh," Eddie reasons, "you mean I could be selfish in some things." Tom's at a loss for words, so he just says, "Goodnight, Eddie." (Eddie apologizes for "doing wrong", but Tom says he really didn't do anything wrong.)
Also in this episode, is a cute "goof" by Brandon. He's seated at the table in the kitchen, sipping orange juice and telling Mrs. Livingston about the above talk with his dad. When he gets to the line, "Actually, he couldn't explain it."- he lets out a small burp at the word explain.
If you haven't seen the pilot, you should see it, it's very well-done. Brandon is about a year younger in this episode than he is in the others from the first part of the 1st season (he may only be about 5 1/2) - he's tiny, and just unbelievably cute in it.
#2 from "Teacher's Pet"
Tom has gone to Eddie's school to meet the teacher after he gets a note from her. He and "Miss Allen" are very attracted to each other, so they get flirtatious. After talking about Eddie for a few minutes, they realize they don't know each other's first names, so Miss Allen introduces herself as "Kerry, like the county in Ireland," then Tom says, "My name is Tom...like in 'peeping'. Oh, I'm sorry I said that," he adds. Kerry replies, "Well, I didn't mean to get you to confess."
This is a fun scene to watch, especially since Ann Prentiss ("Kerry") and Bill really seem to have a lot of chemistry on-screen. In fact, the whole episode is very well-written and the scenes between Eddie and Tom are really touching.
