Hi Everyone!
My name is Jessica and I am new to this board. I grew up watching shows like 'Mama's Family,' 'Three's Company,' and 'Growing Pains.' Does anyone know, if season 2 of 'Growing Pains,' will be released on DVD?
Thank you,
Jessica

Welcome to the board! As far as I know, there are no plans for releasing the 2nd season. But, you can watch Growing Pains on Nick at Night...right now episodes from the earlier seasons are on.

Welcome to the board Jessica as well!!!!

Just out of curiousity why isn't the 2nd season of Growing Pains going to be released on DVD? I just bought the first season on DVD, thinking that the second season would be released sometime soon. My point is why start the first season of the TV shows to be released to DVD, when there is no future seasons to be released?

Again, welcome Jessica!!!!!

the reason there is no plan for a 2nd release at this time is becuase the sales for the first must not have been very good... which is heartbreaking to us fans. But maybe with the release of growing pains on nick at nite, newer fans will grab on and purchase the dvd set. We can hope, can't we :)

I don't think sales would be a problem with a show that ran for 7 years on network TV. Just look at some of the trash that's been released on DVD. A lot the junk didn't make it a season or two before it was kicked off the air.

Hi I'm a new member and a new fan of Growing Pains! I saw one of you said that you hope since Growing Pains is airing on Nick at Nite it will attract new fans and more people will buy Season 1, and I am a perfect example of that. I am 15 and I am in love with Kirk Cameron. I love the show so much I tape each episode every night and constantly search online for news about Season 2. I think it is horrible to release the first season and not have any plans on releasing any further seasons yet. I am also a fan of Moonlighting and they had a petition for their DVDS and they finally came out. Maybe we should make a petition for Warner Bros? What are your opinions?

i would be down with that if you wanna start up something! I am not sure who the releasor of the series is... i'm willing to bet that if it's sony, we wont be seeing another release for quite a few years... they are known for having their sets released like 2 years apart from eachother... also, maybe we should hoard the alan thicke website, i know that he was the one who talked first about the release of the series on dvd... if we bug him about it maybe he can put a further good word in on it for us.. but yea, start one up! i'll sign! :)

Actually, the "Growing Pains" first season set was released by Warner Bros., not Sony.
