It was so unexpected and I was doing my normal rountine and couldn't even eat my dinner right away after finding that out.

I just saw him on ESPN classic last week when the Celtics beat the Atlanta Hawks in game 7 of the 88 playoffs. Larry Bird said that DJ was the best teammate he has ever played with. I always wondered why DJ never got a head coaching position in the NBA. It was very sad news hearing him pass away at such a young age.

When I heard the story break on the radio at first I thought they said Dennis Rodman! When they said he was 52, I knew I misheard; Mr. Rodman is only 45.
