I think when Vanessa was called "rich girl", it was in a "she just thinks she's better than everybody else" kind of way. Vanessa was just judged by the fact, that her parents had fine careers and made some cash. That's actually not better than if she would have been called "black girl" and was judged just because of her ethnicity. And I can just picture how she was called "rich girl" in a really condescending and contemptuous way. I totally understand, that Vanessa was upset about this.

Okay, I haven't watched that episode. I got into this show during season four. But still, no one had the right to tease Vanessa about it. I guess she just didn't understand, that she pissed other kids off. You should never blame bullying on the victim.
