Karen Carpenter, Cass Elliot, Florence Ballard. Ironically, all 3 died at age 32 of cardiac arrest. :(

Of course, the day the music died. Ritchie Valens, Buddy Holly, the Big Bopper. Ritchie was 17, and Buddy and Bopper were in their 20s. :(

Keith GreenI remember when that happened, it was a very sad day, totally unthinkable. :( Fortunately my friends and I had seen him play a year and a half before in a concert in Tacoma, he had a very convicting message!

You were so lucky to get the chance to see him perform live. Even watching video of him performing live, gives me chills, and makes me cry. I can't even imagine how it would have felt seeing him truly perform live, and in flesh and blood. Unfortunately, I was only 11 months old when he died, so I never got the chance to see him, but I think it's totally awesome that you did. There will NEVER be another one like him!!!!!!! Even though I never met you, I feel like I knew you, and I miss you!! :( R.I.P. Forever Mr. Keith Green!!

How could I forget Karen her music was just so great. I saw her true life movie in health class about 3 or 4 years ago it was sad.

Dang I can't believe I left out Aaliyah and Left eye they were great. I remember watching the breaking news newscast on ABC about the death of Aaliyah. Left eye was most def the best member of TLC.

Also rapper from the group D12 Proof was shot and killed at the age of 32 :(

I was half-sleep when I was watching the news that day. It took three people and a few hours for it to sink in.

Eubie Blake, the ragtime and early jazz performer who died at the age of 100 (or 96, depending on who you believe) in 1983, who was famous for such pop standards as "I'm Just Wild About Harry". :rip:

Oh, wait, this thread is about performers who died too young.
