Britney Spears Enters Rehab

Britney Spears has entered rehab, the singer's manager Larry Rudolph, confirms to PEOPLE.

"Britney Spears has voluntarily checked herself into an undisclosed rehab facility today," Rudolph says in a statement. "We ask that the media respect her privacy as well as those of her family and friends at this time."

The latest news caps off a wild holiday weekend for the pop star, who shaved her head, got two new tattoos and was spotted partying in West Hollywood over the last several days.

Last week Spears, 25, visited Eric Clapton's Crossroads Centre in Antigua but left after just one day and headed to Florida, a source told PEOPLE on Friday.

Anyway, I'm glad Britney's getting help. I just hope she stays there and doesn't drop out till she's sufficiently rehabilitated.

Good for her. This is probably one of the most responsible decisions she could make. I'm glad she's done it... I don't think it's a shame at all. Bravo to her for doing it; now like "The Girl Next Door" said (sorry, I forgot your name! :( ) hopefully she'll stick w/ it.

As far as her kids, I feel sure they are being taken good care of.

I hope she just fades out and we don;t hear from her for a few more years

I just read that on CNN.com... I knew it was only a matter of time. I get Lifestyle, OK! and Us Weekly every week and have been following her lately.

I'm glad to hear it. I hope she gets the help she needs. She has two babies who need her, and until she gets herself together, she's no good to them.

Why shaking head? She's getting help for herself and her kids nothing wrong with that. everyone goes through these points in life where they need some kind of help. I think its disgusting that people are ridiculing her for it, she's human.

The paparazzi have been surrounding the place over the last few hours. The media really need to leave her alone while she's there.

I HOPE that she stays in rehab until she's better. It would be nice if she could make a complete turn around.

She needs to move back to Kentwood. Stay away for two years, and if she ultimately decides to... make a comeback.
