I have been trying to get ahold of Loren as well.I received a bad disc and have tried to get ahold of Loren via e mail and PM to get a replacement but no answer.

I think Loren is out of trading. I've tried emailing him previously, but it gets bounced back. Anyway, contact me. I have the Lucy-Desi Comedy Hour. I believe there are 2 sets floating around, so let me know what shows are supposed to be on your bad disc, assuming it does not play at all. I also have Life With Lucy.

That's too bad about Loren.He really got my stuff out lightning quick and other than the 1 bad disc which can happen to anyone,it was a super transaction I had with him.Not at all displeased but I just want to get the episodes that were affected on the bad disc.It looks like I will have to go through another avenue to get those.
Would anyone happen to have the color episodes My Three Sons?Disc # 24 is the bad disc I received from Loren.It has 8 episodes I think.I can post the discs episodes in case someone has this disc and can help me.

Regarding The Lucy-Desi Comedy Hour, it's being released on DVD March 13.

I, too, had a great, though very short, experience with Loren. I got the complete Laverne & Shirley series on discs from him and it was flawless and very professionally put together. I've been enjoying that set since last August. And then I got He & She and Carol Burnett and Love, American Style and they were all good and wonderful to watch. And then I got the Maude set and it consisted of 18 discs but when I received them, the set was missing disc #16 so I e-mailed Loren to see if I could get that disc and that's when the trouble started. Up until that time, I was getting every one of my e-mails to him answered promptly but ever since I wrote to complain about the missing disc, I haven't been able to get him to answer me once. What gives? Also, on a couple of the Maude discs, the last episode will stop playing once it gets nearly to the end and that's very annoying. So does anybody else have Maude episodes on discs? Anything would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

ETA: Why did Loren get out of the TV show trade business so suddenly? I saw his extensive list of TV shows he had available on DVD and it was enormous! Very impressive. I even wrote down my wants from that list and now it seems that I will never be able to obtain any of the other shows that I wanted from that list since Loren is so suddenly out of business. But why? Does anybody have any answers? What a waste! Thank you.

I too had several successfull trades with Loren. He was exactly what we hope this hobby to be. Up front, honest trader.

Keep in mind when you trade as much as he did there is bound to be a bad disc here and there. No one is going to check every single running second of every single disc before sending them out. Perhaps quickly inserting each disc into a player to confirm a good copy before sending out a trade is the proper thing to do, but to watch each disc for its complete duration is waaaaaaay to much for any trader.

Im sure he had his reasons for jumping ship. Perhaps he has collected so much that its impossible for him to trade anymore, as he has almost everything known to man.

My last thought, and its "ONLY" a thought, is maybe he got out for legal reasons?? Is trading Ilegal? perhaps not 100% Ilegal, but technicly taping any show off tv is against so called legal code. Does anyone actualy police it? Very little but one never knows!

At anyrate, he will be missed.

Perhaps one day he will return to this great board, until then........happy viewing

i don't know if Loren is done with trading, or even if he is done with this site, but what I DO know is that it isn't right to be talking about him behind his back if he isn't here.

if you have a problem with any past trades with him, post the information here, or PM or email him with the information - if someone DOES have contact with him please let him know of this thread, and these possible issues so that he can take care of it.

any speculation as to what has happened to Loren should end here.

A few weeks ago, I sent a PM to the administrators of this board complaining about Loren sending me a set of Maude discs that was missing a disc and that I couldn't get a response from Loren about it and I never received an answer from anyone about it. So posting here in this thread was out of desperation as I'm sure it was for the rest of those who posted here. Also, you said if anyone has a problem with anything received from Loren, it should be posted here and that's exactly what we did! So we weren't talking about Loren behind his back, we were trying to get some much needed answers and some possible help that we weren't getting anywhere else.

It's hardly "talking about him behind his back" since he is still a member here. Especially, since, if you look up his member info, you'll see his last login was today.
