Before Robert arrived at the Halloween party she was going on and on about how he is the coolest guy in the 7th Grade and when he approached her, Robert was just as NERVOUS as Vanessa-lol And the fact that he asked her to go steady after JUST MEETING HER didn't raise any Red Flags that he maybe kind of WEIRD???.

Well, Vanessa was kind of a dork herself not to mention that she wasn't the brightest Huxtable kid when it came to matters of the heart.

I hated Robert, he was a geek. I am assuming that they knew each other before that party. A teen asking another teen to "Go Steady" even if they never really talked before is a little weird, but not unusual.

:rofl: so true. I mean, two dorks, same minds, etc. Besides, Love is Blind. Ok, it wasn't "real love" but to a teen girl, every guy is her "love".

Also, since she wanted Robert sooooo bad, it didn't matter that he asked her to go steady IMMEDIATELY. I met a guy when I was 14 and the same day he asked me to be his girlfriend. I was so excited. I am not going to think abt "Wow, that was quick. I need time to think it over." Just not going to happen when it comes to teen girls.
